123Movies respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This site does not store any files on its server. All contents are provided by non-affiliated third parties.

Catalogue information shown on this site — titles, artwork, synopses, cast and ratings — is retrieved from the TMDB API and remains the property of its respective rights holders.

Submitting a takedown notice

If you own, or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of, a copyright interest you believe is infringed by material accessible through this site, send a written notice to the designated agent below. To be actionable, a notice must include all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. Where multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list.
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail — ideally the exact URL — for us to locate it.
4. Contact information for the complaining party: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complaining party is authorised to act on behalf of the owner.

What happens next

Valid notices are actioned promptly. We remove or disable access to the material identified and, where we can, notify whoever supplied it. Repeat infringers have their access terminated.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address. It must identify the removed material and its previous location, include your contact details, state under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal resulted from a mistake, and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.

Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether the material is protected, seek legal advice before submitting a notice.
